Scattered Servant is the result of a pleasure in rediscovery, translation, and repurposing.
The signature material is a 130-year-old star-shaped parquet flooring from a Viennese piano nobile;
salvaged from demolition and carefully restored.
Its original symmetrical arrangement was dismantled to liberate the veneer to its basic components.
The result remains true to the parquetry’s original aesthetic quality: its ever-changing play of reflected light on the single veneer elements.
Scattered Servant is sold as a set of 3 trays (large, medium and small), with an attachable brass stand for the large tray.
